Overview

Dr. Andrew Wallmann is an ophthalmologist at our Yuma eye center, specializing in comprehensive ophthalmology and cataract surgery. He grew up in both Seattle, Washington, and St. George, Utah, and developed an early appreciation for hard work and the outdoors through his experience as an Eagle Scout.

Education

Dr. Wallmann earned his undergraduate degree in neuroscience from Brigham Young University, graduating magna cum laude. He then attended the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Phoenix, where he earned his medical degree.

He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch.

Accolades

During residency, Dr. Wallmann received the Silver Scalpel Award, an honor recognizing the resident who demonstrated exceptional surgical skill.

Personal

Outside of patient care, Dr. Wallmann enjoys spending time with his wife and children. His interests include cycling, camping, reading, and watching sports.
